Guess what? ‘Nother character pic for you guys to look at!

Remember way back when I asked you guys on who I should work on for a fan redesign? And it would either be Zotz or Voxzacco? Well, since I had gotten my fan redesign of Zotz done and out of the way, I remembered that I’ve been wanting to try my hand at doing my own take of this particular fella’. ^^

And, honestly? I feel good about him! I wanted to go a slightly different direction with his overall appearance, specifically, how he carries himself. I know the most common take of Vox’s design is that he’s very old and often depicted being hunched over due to his age. I mean, even reading the original book, you get a clear idea that he’s an ancient bat who’s been around for a long time.

But this time, I went for something different. And as you can see, Voxzacco is looking, shockingly; much different in terms of posture and appearance!

But don’t let his deceptively youthful appearance fool you. Some minor details I’ve worked out for my version of his backstory, is that Voxzacco is definitely much older then he appears. But yet, despite that, he still moves and carries himself like someone who’s only in their 30’s. How old is he, exactly? I have no idea. Nobody else in the Vampyrum colony knows what his exact age is either. Though I’d imagine there are rumours passed around that Voxzacco is presumably immortal, or that he has used some sort of black magic to extend his life for much longer then normal, and so on.
The only way to tell what his age would be is by his pale grey/white fur. And with few wrinkles to be seen, aside from the slight bags beneath his eyes, it’s hard for anyone to discern his actual age.

Though there are some elders in the colony that claim Voxzacco has been around since they themselves were children, and claim that he looks exactly the same from when they first saw him.

And again, I posed and took a screenshot of a 3D model to get the right pose and drew over it. I definitely recommend trying it out as it saves time and saves yourself from the stress of getting the right proportions! Once again, I used an app called MagicPoser to get my pose reference.

Hope y’all like him! Spent some time figuring out his colors, but there’s always room for me to make changes and improve on them.

Also, for his voice actor, I immediately imagined him being voiced by Willem Dafoe to give Voxzacco a charming and almost unsettling air about him. Especially with the icy blue eyes I gave him!
