I was thinking of a little short story or some small bit of dialogue to put here, but…I think I might’ve fried my brain working on this since yesterday.

Anyway, uhhhh, yeah! I planned, did and finished a piece of self-insert/canon ship fanart. Ta-daaa! Eheh, yeah.

Honestly, I love how this all came out! The background I just got off of Google, edited some color filters to set the mood and viola!

For context for what’s going on in the pic, I imagine that Zak is taking a little breather from some of the festivities of a huge party meant to honour Cama Zotz, and Goth finds him alone. Also, this isn’t related to the previous pic where Goth is straight up awful to the Greywing, this whole ship would be a What-If scenario, if the two of them ended up falling in love.
They come to talk for a little bit, and then Goth would drop a sudden little: “You are amazing.”

Then it goes on with Zak getting caught off-guard by the compliment, and quite possibly Goth being a little bit buzzed after drinking some wine, and the Vampyrum prince going on with how he admires Zak’s bravery and tenacity after what he had put the younger adult through during the events of Silverwing. Zak, meanwhile, finds himself blushing and growing a little flustered by the kind words.

And then! Goth cups his cheek, looking into his eyes with a new warmth, and Zak himself not feeling any sort of fear that he did before. In fact, he’s taken aback by how beautiful Goth’s eyes look and doesn’t pull away from his touch. Then comes the little bit of hand-holding and…well, the result is above! Something just clicks between them and this kicks off the first few steps in their relationship.

Former enemies turned lovers.

*Ahem!* Anyway! Hope y’all like this! I know I’m proud of how this turned out! ^////^
