GB: Chinese moon moth or Chinese luna moth
Aren't these guys beautiful? Sadly, only few of them made it this far and this is the biggest one by far. It's name is "Anatoll"
. I'm very much looking forward to see them growing further.

As they feed off various pinus species I'd agree with you, though the shiny seem to make them rather obvious.
Also, they sort of make a crunshy noise when touched
