Still playing with this one, not quite a WiP but a tweakfest as I get random ideas, it's in 1600 1280 but the preview is only 1280 1024.

I like the way you settled up a connection between the month january and the beginning of all things. Quite equilibrium-based, methinks. The outer glow fades out really nice with the space and the particles are really a good idea. Nice use of fractals btw.

lots of experimentation, texturing, a nice tutorial from Baro on impacts that I played around with and apophosis experimentation to make fractal brushes (takes forever...)

Ya, more of to get it to conform to the shape of the planet. Taenaron was telling me to ease up the atmosphere and all so it went through some minor changes

well spherizing it suggests that it merges completely with the body of the planet. it takes away the 3dish look thus looking more like something spreading out over the surface of the planet.

this is quite ridiculously awesome! I was about to say that I didn't understand how this didn't have more pageviews, but now I see it's only been up a short time. I really love the way the green flows off of the bottom of the planet, and the way you can see tiny little artifacts floating around.
