AAAAHHH i'm honored you'd want to know LOL
I just do plain base colours, and sometimes add bright colours (like the blush colour on her cheeks and the blue on her headband)
What I do is when I'm finished colouring, I'll make new layers on top of my drawing and I'll just experiment with overlays with different colours and options (they are called Modes on my paint tool sai, and it's just above the layer box ) That's usually my trick! (
