Entry for Atlas-White 's Cuphead OC contest . I honestly hope it isn't too late, and that my first attempt in Cuphead character-verse design isn't too bad.

And I guess, what struck me most about the character was the fact that all that responsibility was in the shoulders of a child. It's pretty much the default description for him but what really got me thinking was how that would affect him in adulthood.

So here's what I thought Carmillian would be like in the future: With his swordsmanship in tip-top shape, he doesn't hesitate to either train with masters or amateurs in his royal guard, because no matter how important or high his position was, he learns to be humble. He wears his heart in his sleeve, just as he always did but even moreso, and in return his subjects and pretty much everyone that surrounds him return the same gesture. This prevents him from bottling too much grief as he learned would only be his downfall.

He is much more mature, calm and collected, but would sometimes still be quick to anger but usually associated with embarrassment.

Here's to the king of Inkwell Isle.
