Hey guys,
Well I'm not sure if you've heard but yesterday Chicago got hit with a massive snow storm (worst storm recorded in 20+ years) so I was creating yesterday's deviation and BAM!! out goes the light! It was around 9pm so I figured nothing to do and I went to bed, this morning we woke up to no heat, no electricity, no gas and the car under 6 feet of snow. I spent most of my morning and afternoon getting my car out from under all that snow, then the neighbors and then the other neighbors (yes, we got them all out). We actually thought we would have to stay in a hotel this evening since the police came by telling everybody that if the power wasn't on my 5pm we would have to evacuate. Fortunately for us the power did come back on at around 4:30pm.
We took a small drive to get some food and I have to tell you guys I have NEVER seen so much snow in my life! Beautiful and mind blowing really, how ice water can just turn everything upside down.
Anyway all of the above prevented me from posting last night and for that I apologize, there was really nothing I could do.
But after all the exercise today I still wasn't going to let another day go by and not post, so here we are, I found this great tut from Abuzeedo and I started to follow, but as you know for some reason I just can't seem to follow them so I got the general idea of what he wanted to show and just made my own (but it's based on his tut [link] ) check it out and if you do it, shoot me a link I'd love to see what you came up with.
The flower is done in Illustrator using the blend tool, and the rest is in Photoshop. I hope you guys enjoy it.
