(SPOILERS to people who haven't seen Endgame)

*sigh* I was devastated when I saw Endgame.. Why did the have to kill poor Wally?! Geez.. and just when they brought him back.. and poor Artemis..
Anyways, I decided to colour all my Wally sketches and it made me feel a lot better.. My eyes don't burn from all the crying any more

Wally was always my favorite... ever since I watched Justice League.. he was my first fandom crush

(okay, hopefully IF they ever decide to make a third season, WHICH THEY TOTALLY WILL, Wally better un-cease and show up from some parallel universe or something.. :/ )

They did have other storylines that they wanted to explore before they got caned the show. How Wally became the fastest speedster is most likely one of them seeing as it is a pivital point in his run in the comics (before the new 52 ruined everything!) and they were probably going to use his death as a way to push chericter divelopment on Bart, Dick, and Artemis. Other storylines may have included the Red Hood, Trigon, Cadmus and General Eiling, the Brotherhood of Evil, and or cource Darkside.

yeah sounds like a great plan, too bad the toy company they were sponsored by had a completely wrong idea about the show ._. do you think they'd somehow bring Wally back someday in the future (if the show were to ever continue)?

Well their are rumors among fans and the produsers and writers of the show. Netflix has expressed intrest in it which is good. The writers could get away with more stuff there then the ever could with Cartoon Network. If they take it on, and that is a big if as of right now, it could be good for DC who has been disapointing fans left and right as of late. The official Earth-16 of DC continuity will have to be changed back to the Young Justice universe or it will be reasigned all together. DC will mostlikely take control of the toy line, probably shifting focus to posters, plushies, and mini statuetes instead of action figuers that never sold. All in all it would be a smart move but never the less risky with contract renigotiations and legal rights to the charicters and storylines that had to be consistant in both show and comic. If they go through with it it will be messy for a little while but it'll smooth out into the Young Justice we all know and miss.

yes I see, all valid points, hopefully that'll come true.Β
I've heard the new Suicide Squad was doing really well at the pre screenings, if that's true, hopefully DC will pick up a few pointers on what they did right in the movie and apply that to other movies, because, as you've said, DC has been bombing lately ._. most of the people that like their stuff lately (in my experience, people that I know) are very biased die hard DC fans... now regarding movies alone (I'm not as knowledgeable about the comics as I'd like to be), I'm not saying Marvel is perfect, sometimes the story-lines are a hit or miss, but it's been 80% great for me, what's considered a "bad" Marvel movie is still watchable and has its moments. I really don't know why people who "genuinely" like DC movies say "ugh Marvel movies are too unrealistic too fun to watch, DC is the real deal", like, I'm sorry, I really don't want comics to be that realistic, I want a dose of both humor and angst (Civil War does that really well), I want comics to be a fantastical escape from reality, and honestly, Dark Knight was brilliant, but it wasn't THAT realistic, it went even further, it had the whole dark side of Batman tone but it had a little bit of humor too, but that's not what Superman and the Justice League are about at all for me.

That's why I think you're right, Young Justice may be a cartoon, but it has a healthy dose of serious topics with comic relief, it would be great for DC to deliver more YJ seasons (that stay consistent with the first two seasons)

(sorry I ramble, but people just can't seem to get along.. I love both Marvel and DC, why do some people think we have to choose, why not both )

I agree, DC is trying way to hard to beat out Marvel in cinimas. They just don't know how to pull it off. Where they really shine is on the small screen and with straight to DVD animated movies. Arrow, Flash, and Super Girl are hits on TV and the produsers on the shows have shown that they aren't afraid to loose money on expensive crossovers between networks. That's the key they are missing. Those shows are writen, directed, and prodused by diehard fans that love the charicters and understand them. CW doesn't care if it looses money by having Flash show up on Super Girl. They just want to see it happen because it would be awesome and the fans would love it.

In terms of the animated movies, go watch Justice League War or Batman v. Robin or Batman: Bad Blood, or Under the Red Hood, or Justice League v. Teen Titans. It has a formula that works so well. Perfect amount of angst, humor, and serioseness to make you keep watching and then beg for more. (if you don't cry watching Under the Red Hood you are not human). The paceing is perfect, they aren't afraid to take risks, and each charicter gets just enough screen time to be well defined and those that aren't show up later and get their moment to shine in other instalments.

Now DC has done somethings right in recent years, The Court of the Owls being a prime example, and Marvel has missed the ball on ocation (Iron Man 2 anybody?) but they are learning. Marvel and Fox took a risk with Deadpool and the payoff was extrodinary and DC is taking a risk with Suicide Squad. DC is new to modern superhero movies with live action, they don't know what they are doing. Where they really shine is in animation with the Justice League cartoon, Teen Titans (NOT THE NEW ONE!), and Young Justice. If they were to continue it it would ultimitly be Warner Brothers disition. It's above the writer's and proderser's pay grades but with over 400,000 signituers on an online patition and how poorly they have been doing recently now is the perfect time and who knows, they might even be discusing it in secret in some out of reach boardroom right now. Whatever's going on it will still be some time before we see or hear anything, mostly on an acount of how long it takes to animate things.

Never watched Arrow, but I'm a big fan of the Flash show (it's been a little repetitive, but next season might be a variation of Flashpoint Paradox?), and agreed, the shows are doing better than the movies because people who actually love the comics and understand the characters are making them.

I've seen all of those, they're pretty cool, sometimes the voice acting is weird (and can we just mention that weird "sailor moon like" scene in Justice League vs. Teen Titans when they change into their uniforms? That was a little bit out of place, otherwise the movie was cool), Under the Red Hood was great , yeah, I cried, poor Jason, yeah, they're working better with the animated movies, but even that is decreasing in quality in my opinion, I can see how they somehow cut corners with the voice acting and animation quality (trust me, lots of effects were used in favor of decreasing FPS)

The cartoons have great stories and characters but they're starting to lack quality, at least the animated movies, the shows are (were) still doing great, while the movies have amazing special effects but they're not so good at stories.

Oh yeah, loved The Court of Owls storyline from the comics, the animated movie was good too (even though they changed things up a little).
(I like the new Teen Titans Go too, it's aware of itself, it has funny moment, but yeah, it definitely doesn't beat the original)
Aw man the Justice League cartoon never gets old. Batman the Animated Series too!

Anyways, I just hope that Marvel's Cinematic Universe continues doing so well (the new Tom Holland's Spidey is amazing, can't wait for his standalone movie next year) and hopefully DC will catch up somehow, there are so many possibilities, maybe they'll change something and nail the Justice League movie, apparently they hired different directors that might know more what they're going to do with the characters... and hopefully superhero movies won't go out of style in a long time.Β

Superhero movies were never out of style. We gust now have the technology to make what's on screen look and feel like what's on print (with a few tweaks here and there).

Yeah, I know, but for instance western movies went out of style even though they were immensely popular, and hopefully that won't happen to superhero movies (I think it won't, there are so many possibilities and they're finally become popular due to, as you've put it, the technology we now have)

True but old westerns never dealt with polatics or social issues like comic book heroes do. Look at all of them and you can see where they came from and what time period. Captain America: WW2, Iron Man, the Winter Soldier, and Black Widow: The Cold War, Green Lantern: The Space Race, Wonder Woman: the femanist movement, Court of the Owls: couruption in government and social elites, Spider-Man: low income homes, Batman: the high crime rates of high density cities, The Hulk: introduction to nuclear power and its potential dangers, the X-Men: discrimination, Batwoman and Midnighter: LGBT community. And that's not even including their storylines. Through all the crazy powers and unrealistic villian that are for some reason all based off animals and the crazy amounts of ninjas, evil lime green substanses, and plot divises there is always some sort of message or social issue that is being adressed if you look closely enough. In that way, their easier to relate to because you've seen it in real life. You may not have seen a crazy clown blow up a hospital but you have seen random acts of violence. There may not be some psychic gorilla running around but you do know about animal experimentation. Comics are current, they keep up with the times. That's why they have lasted so long with the golden age, the silver age, the 80's where things got a bit weird for everyone, and the current comic boom. You have AI's like Ultron and Nazis like Red Skull, forces of nature like Weather Wizard and crime lords like Blockbuster. It's everywhere and it's right now. It was and it will be. That's why I think they're never going to go out of style, because they were alway in style. It's the real world, just fantasized.

>:

Well at least he's coming back to the universe so.. yay?

I hope they won't ruin him :/

And gosh, I feel like there's an entire story behind each drawing they're just really good *_* I want to write them, but I want to read them more because I'm a freaking lazy ass XD

oh yes, he's just.. in the speed force for the moment :3

indeed.. so far I've seen speculations that he's going to be black, from the future,a hooligan, not even related to Barry, so on and so forth.. *sigh* I really hope they do it right, I don't mind different, just not horrible hopefully

aah, I know what you mean, I always try to think up stories while drawing, but I'm not very good at um, words and stuff (also too lazy to write them)Β

too bad all the good fanfics are either on hiatus or have already been read ages ago heh
(do try to write a new one and note me if you ever feel like it, I'd love to read some more especially WallyWhump perhaps? )

Yeah, so I've read /: I really hope they won't change.. well, his characteristics? I guess Idk

Haha It's the same for me with drawings XP I can come up with a really good idea but then.. oops I can't draw XD

I actually do write but I'm a crazy fangirl and I ship Birflash so I don't know if you're into it XP

And anyways it's so hard for me to write whump, as much as I love to read it ;-;

I actually did write one Wally centered fanfic, but it was mostly humorous XP it's based on a YJA prompt, so if you wanna read

www.fanfiction.net/s/9811794/1…

It's a bit OOC in my opinion, but I tried to force it to fit the prompt XP

Uh now when I think about it I did start a serious whump!Wally once O.o what happened to it? uhm

idk, I'll see XP Like I said, angst is hard to write + Birdflash consumes all my time *_*

heh, happens when you can draw too, believe me.. so many ideas trapped in my head, too lazy to figure out how to transfer them onto paper D: a shame really..

oh no worries, I can ship mostly anything (I'm mainly Spitfire oriented, but BridFlash and even Museum Heist are awesome too also BluePulse ftw! ^^ Ship all the ships! )

Really? Ah, whump is my favorite thing to draw.. ^^

ooh, I think I've read it before but I'll read it again just for the kicks and giggles, thanks for the link ^^

hehe, well, good luck with that

Uh I just reread it and found out ff.net didn't actually update the changes I made last time I went over it. Hopefully now It's corrected and better XP

Uh, I can ship BluePulse but idk, I like their bromance better I guess.. Maybe I'm just too much in the Robin/speedster tradition and I ship Bart with Tim XP

I actually just published a new birdflash if you're interested

And yeah I know the feeling when you have so many ideas.. but writing them down uh just so much effort! XP

Anyways, I'll go to sleep because it's almost 1 am and I have school tomorrow '-'

heh, well, I haven't really read Teen Titans comics with Bart and Tim, so I know interactions between them only from the show so no shipping sparks (at least for me, but be my guest, the ship seems reasonably cool)

cool, I'll check it out sometimes (not right now,Β it's midnight here,Β busy day for me tomorrow too, no school, but I have to hit the gym early and then do some paperwork related things at college ) Β
