I must stop looking at your gallery Your stuff is great Beat--here's another instant and below is why.

Model: stunning look, beautiful transparent eyes, flawless skin, nice expression. That's all I can say as the pic doesn't show more.

Outfit: nice hat and mesh--you likely focused manually, eh? Very vintage! A sepia-like edit may be appropriate.

Compositional elements: great use of the right third--well, okay , almost half, superb shallow DOF; I like the use of the water edge as a leading line that guides to her eyes.

Light: you did great under such a backlit difficult situation. Reflector, flash or none? I like the skin tones/texture and the way her eyes reflect the light--did you dodge'em a bit?

Exposure: can't tell as exif don't show up.

Impact: lots of mood, an intimate, elegant and a bit funny (the expression) portrait. Great job

Thank you so much for your comment. Some Details: I worked with a reflector (the model held it in her hands) and right, I had to focus manually (the nettexture made my AF dizzy ;o)) The skin tones are little pushed, but not dodged (I worked simply with a new layer and pushed the tones partially there). The EXIFS: 1/200 - F4,0 - 55mm (Fullframe) - ISO 250. Thanks a lot!

Hi Beat--you're most welcome Always a pleasure to comment your work! Thanks for the luxury of details you shared Re: your setup. It's funny that you asked the model to hold the reflector herself--very nice from her to hold it as posing and checking the light is not an easy task Nicely surprised you were able to achieve such a beautiful and creamy bokeh at f/4.0--must have used a great piece of glass but on the other hand she was likely standing far from the bckground. Anyways, again, excellent work Can't wait to see what you gonna come up with next
