nope me either, but after hearing some of my guy friends saying a male actor was hot, I had to put it down. I'm gonna start making these every week with all the weirdness stuff too

backgrounds are a necessary evil.
you sound like you have an interesting concept there.
and as for the babbling, it's all good.

e-p-i-t-o-m-y.
(now you know...)
yes, backgrounds can be a hassle.
until you really start to study the world around you and make note of how things really appear to the human eye, and not just in your mind.
if you're not lazy like me, and feel the need to better yourself, start to study the truelife effects light, study shadow, study depth, and just shade the heck into everything.
for example, take an ordinary object, preferably something simple, like a softball or an apple, shine i light on it and observe how the light reflects off it, and draw what you see. draw several angles, just to get a feel for a few different perspectives.
when i look down at the keys on the keyboard i see shadows where the keys are raised.
(hooray for Captain Obvious!)
art is tricky businness because you're trying to make a flat piece of paper your window of the world, or anything you wish to represent, for that matter.
the trick is to use darker shades for whatever you want to sink into the background, and at the same time, bring whatever you want to be see as the focal point, forward.
the trick for a good work is to create the illusion of depth.
i realize, however, that most of the things i create appear "flat."
so apparently, i still have much work on that to do.
so take this as you will.
