Very nice! Also... are we talking about Jake Bugg the singer, because I got confused reading the previous comment mentioning Jake Bugg the architect born in 1923, Jake Bugg the alcoholic and such.

What I think you are failing to understand is the art itself.
This piece, with delicate, careful brushstrokes and gorgeous stylization, is a tribute to the man himself, Jake Bugg. Jake Bugg, born in 1923, was a British scholar and architect who invented many of our commonalities today, such as the cigar, the plank, and the lemon meringue pie. Jake Bugg was also a well-known alcoholic and frequent drunk; he grew very depressed in his youth and this was carried out onto his work.
~beagleamarelo's depiction of Bugg is not only impressively accurate, but immaculately done; the detail and attention put into every pore of his skin is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. His lips are drawn soft and loving against the harsh outlines, contrasting perfectly. The gentle caress of the cigars in his fingers as he smokes gives the impression of what may be seen as perhaps regret for his actions; the artist's depiction shows a level of symbolization and meaning I have yet to come across in the works of even Monet or Da Vinci. I could go into long hours of description over his very hair, or the curvatures of his nose, but I am certain it is easy to see. The very essence of Bugg is captured without words, but it does not stop there; beautiful scripture of his given name is lovingly detailed beside him, and it does not detract from the image.
This work of art was not meant to be "very nice", you see; it was meant to be a tribute, a memoir of sorts to a man whom the world may never see again. I believe that this is a beautiful piece and that all it takes to understand its complexities is to give it a good look.

I have studied art for 11.6 years, I am well-versed in the language of the visual. Thank you for creating such a masterpiece. I am honored to defend the work of an artist such as yourself.

but that's the meaning of this art. its purpose is to make a funny drawing of that guy. I understand if you don't find it funny, but I'm just saying that it's meant to look like crap.
