Well, this isn't what I originally intended to be my first upload, but the fact that I had no art up here was KILLING ME! So I decided to upload a picture of Charmander. This is the first time I drew an image on paper and colored it on the computer and the fourth time creating an image on the computer all together. I did my best to copy Ken Sugimari's art style for this picture, using the old artwork of Charmander as a reference. One important thing I learned about drawing and painting on the computer though is that before you scan it make sure you go over the lines with a dark pencil (probably 2b or darker) before you scan it. My scanner didn't get all the lines all the way and I had to fix it on the computer (the entire belly was cut off!) Anyway, the program I used is a free program called TwistedBrush Open Studio and I highly recommend it. Feel free to tell me how I did and tell me how I can do better. As I said, I am new to digital art. Enjoy!

Fun fact: Charmander was inspired by the myth of salamanders that were in one way or another (depending on the legend) able to control fire.
