Graceyn doesn't share much about her backstory with only a few tales of when she lived with family.
Graceyn was born to two merpeople in the Pacific Ocean just off the coast of California. At the time of her birth, she had twelve siblings (eight females and four males). She and her family lived in a group of about fifty merpeople, most were Graceyn's cousins.
Her early life was average for a merperson, and she usually stayed close to her group. She only left the group to hunt for food like small fish and sea snails. Ocasionally, her group would find an injured whale and put it out of its misery. Graceyn found a taste for whale blubber after a few tastes of it.
When Graceyn reached maturity, she wanted to explore beyound her group and onto land. Her parents and siblings tried to convince her otherwise but she eventually left at sixty years old. She found her way to Los Angeles, California. She managed to hide her fins and gills attached to her "human" form during her time in California. Graceyn spent ten years in California under the name "Gracie." She spent most of her nights in bars or sleeping in her apartment with beer cans on her bedside table. When she left California, Graceyn tried to cut her alcohol addiction.
Her about twenty years, Graceyn traveled around the United States before she came upon Indieville. It was a place she was looking for and immediatly packed her bags to leave for Indieville.
