This was a commission for a birthday cake from late last year.. It's not a great photo as I finished at some ridiculous time in the morning and I was in a hurry to get to bed and get some sleep before having to go into work! It's quite simple, but it's what was requested!Related content

Well it's two round cakes stacked on top of each other with buttercream and raspberry conserve that makes up Kirby's body, then another cake cut into the shapes of his hands and feet that were then stuck to the bottom layer of cake using the buttercream. The whole cake was covered in pink fondant and then his feet were covered in red fondant. The eyes and mouth shapes were pressed into the icing so they dipped a little and then painted using edible paint. The cheeks were painted on too. And... I think that's it! =]

Sorry, this was just an old one though! I haven't made any in a while... I'd say Canada is probably a bit too far... shipping would be incredibly expensive and there's no guarantee it would arrive in one piece =[ Maybe when/if I move there!

Well, it's a pretty broad area! Basically researching genes/proteins/interactions of bacteria/viruses/parasites to determine how they cause disease etc...
I work with bacteria because they are more interesting to me than the others

I'm sorry to say that of the 2 cakes I have lined up, neither of them are Miranda. These ones are not really my choice though and you'll find out why when they're done!
