XD, I was doing sketches of these for preparation and the idea of one with a deer skull was in my head XD
I really like this panel, its kind of ominous foreshadowing of how large these groups can get and how intelligent they really are.
the colours are brilliant, giving it a feel like someone is recalling what they saw and imagining it in a dream like state to maybe put themselves in doubt.

Somehow I think that what would probably be a common weapon which is both awesome AND practical is the Staff Sling. It's like a sling, but able to throw much larger and heavier things, and can be used as a flail and staff and whatever to smash things close in. Basically it's a miniature trebuchet. Simple, lots of room for customization to the staff/spear body for the creative Bloodsacker, and the ability to fling things like bricks, rocks, and whatever happens to be handy that would be good to lob at people.
