It has come to my attention that quite a few people were confused by the way I put my contest x.x; maybe I wasn't being clear enough and just waffling creativly but eh... i'll try again to clarify...

I want you to make a drawing of your interpretation of the podcat goddess. Aka a normal podcat like creature ( quad feral feline whatever ) but with similar characteristics to the picture I drew as an example [link] SIMILAR in the fact that it contains characterisitics listed in the extract below. Yet not so same that the back markings are identical. Maybe you can make her huge maybe tiny. maybe sleeker than you average podcat. Its up to you.

Tis time for my annual contest says I, says I! Finally im going to crawl out of my lazy burrow and throw it at you with some enthusiasm and detail.

SO HERE IT IS.

In the little world of fantasy iv created in my head the podcat species have a deity they worship called the "Creator". I want you to draw your impression of the Creator based on vague guidelines that are the norm in podcat belif. Just like images of old greek gods, or mythical creatures like manticores and the such; take some artistic liberty and creativity and work up a concept like I did here myself.

Heres the description:
Extract from the myth and lore passed down from pride to pride since the beginning of time...

"It is said that the Creator is the mother of us all, herself a being born from the mists of a changing world. That to look upon her would to know the purity of light and the all consuming nature of darkness. Undenyably female her form is sinuous and graceful, tall and sleek a hunter in her prime. She is an embodyment of power and beauty yet not fragile, thus also reflected in our race. Her form itself is almost like liquid, intangible and shifting as the light that ripples across the water. Her light is the becon of hope to the lost and the last thing to be seen in a dying podcats eyes. The lights adorning her fins give off a radiance of crystal clean azure. Bright and deep like looking into the depths of the ocean with the sky reflecting from above. It is said that the light she produces can be as minimal as a flickering flame... or as radiant as the sun. Flooding everything with the serene hue of blue. Tattoos of cyan twist across her ribcage and back a reminder to us all of her status as queen of us all. Ever changing these markings on her form bring a bright slash of colour to her inky black coat. Fixed however, in the mind of all podcats, is the destinctive markings on her face. They are always present, haloed in the glow of her vision...."

Of the image itself:
This is my PERSONAL concept of how I think the Creator would look :} You won't get points for doing it exactly the same I can tell you now. This is very stylised for a podcat image. I intended it that way hence the strong arching neck and undefined facial fur. However you choose to approach it realistically ( aka. In keeping with the exact anatomy and look of the podcat species) or going with the flow please feel free to experiment and do it however you see fit ^^ I also went very minimalistically with the markings/tattoos you can have them SCREWLING all over the place if you like.

In saying that things to remember:
She is female
Her lights + eyes are blue
she has some sort of cyan tatooing on her ribcage/back
those are the exact markings around her eyes -please note-

You will win this contest by:
Having a creative concept
sticking to the guidelines
Entering a coloured image ( Uncoloured entrys/ lineart won't be accepted sorry :< )

I will not be picking the winners based on quality of the image so much as the design itself so bear in mind. Wether your a digital artist or a traditional give it a go ^^ have some fun.

There will be digital art prizes for those who win the first three places 8D
