Description
Pooka is an enemy character from the Dig Dug series of games who's become a recurring character in the Pac-Man series as well. They walk around in holes underground and kill you if they touch you. They can also turn into an intangible set of ghostly eyes to fly from one hole to another (or to the surface). The enemy killing system in this game is imaginatively the most gruesome of most children's games on the market. Aside from dropping a rock on the enemies' heads, the only options the player has is to let the enemy escape (forfeiting the points that would otherwise be gained) or inflate the enemy to death. That's right... Inflating them, til they pop! While the Pookas may look like little balloons, there are also dragon-like enemies (fygars) that can only be killed in the same ways. It's so messed up when you think about it; Egoraptor's portrayal of this method is the exact way I thought of it as a kid.
