Well, Rob/Star, BB/Rae, BB/Terra (though one-sided), and even--gasp--Slade/Terra, among others, are supposed by source comic canon that influenced the show, so...The fact of life is that Rob & Rae only have a sibling bond, for even the comics based on the show have Rob consider Rae "the sister I never had". That doesn't mean you have to stop shipping just because your pairing is non-canon though. To each their own.
