Description I liked this pic so much that I decided to color it. In case you don't remember it, t's Riff-Raff, and his girlfriend Cleo from the classic 1980s cartoon "Cats & Co." or the "Catillac Cats" wich was shown on the Heathcliff cartoon.

The cadillac, the cane, the hat, the swag.....c'mon, Riff Raff was a straight up P.I.M.P I couldn't see it when I was a kid then, but now it's so painfully obvious!

Y'know, there was a pretty risque line of dialogue in the first "Cats & Co." episode "Lotty Kat Kennels." [link]

lol who knows? Maybe we're reading to much into it, but it's funny the things they can sometimes "get away" with in kid cartoons.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I kinda wanted them to look simular to the show but also kinda have my own take on them, as well. I might draw them again sometime, or the other characters.

And yeah, you gatta love Cleo's '80s legwarmers. lol

You grew up in the 80s and early 90's as a kid? so did i, born 81 and lived through the 80s and early 90s as a kid and mid-late 90s as a teen.

I had a crush on Cleo when i was 4 as it was her with M'ress from the Star Trek cartoon (Remembered when they use to show that on Nick?) and Cheetara that i was fascinated by catgirls.

Isn't it neat how in the 80's and 90's they got away with making sexy cartoon catgirls? i mean you had Cleo, Cheetara, M'ress, Callie Briggs from Swat Kats, Mirage from Aladdin, April O'Neil as a catgirl in that episode of Ninja Turtles (Remember that?), Kit Mambo from Animalympics, Jenny from Bucky O'Hare, Aishia Clan Clan from Outlaw Star, Puma Twins, Kitten Kaboodle from Talespin, Bagi from the anime Bagi The Mighty Beast of Nature and even Selena Kyle as a mutant catgirl in that Batman TAS episode (Remember that?) were all hot.

Dig any of the girls i mentioned?

I remember alot of those shows. You sure like "catgirls."

Though, I'm not very comfortable though when it comes to talking about wich "fictional" characters are attractive to me personally, no offense.
So I dunno how to answer that. lol

Cleo does have nice leg-warmers though, I admit. (lol) Those show us that she's an '80s gal. lol
I love how the Cadillac Cats dress all 1980s-ish.

Personally, I think Cleo's too good for Riff Raff. But then again, that's just my opinion. Besides, that was one of my favorite childhood TV shows.

Beau-Skunk In reply to MDTartist83 [2009-11-04 04:10:37 +0000 UTC]

You might be right.
I think I do remember one episode on my DVD boxset where Riff-Raff did go on a date with another girl cat, after asking Cleo to go steady. (Thereby "cheating on her")
Cleo did get even with him when she found out about it, by playing a few pranks on him during his date. (With Hector, Mungo, & Wordsworth's help.) Like putting hot sauce in their food, and stuff.

So am I. I hear Archie Comics is going to release a book titled "Heroes in a half Shell" next month, that features the first 4 issues of the "TMNT Adventures" comics they made. (I wonder if Mirage Studios will follow suit & rerelease the original B&W comics to.)
It's going to be released as part of the 25th TMNT anniversary celebration. Playmates is even rereleasing some of the original action figures to.

Really? Seems everything is having an anniversary of some sort this year. I sometimes see some cartoon enthusiasts speak poorlly about the quality of DiC's cartoons, but personally I think they made some pretty good shows back in the day. (Especially Inspector Gadget.)

Beau-Skunk In reply to RoseRose16 [2006-09-07 05:35:30 +0000 UTC]

I remember seeing it on Amazon.com, they might have it at Best Buy to.

I acctually do have a Heathcliff DVD, (A single one, that came out a few years ago before the boxset.) but it onley has the equivilent of 4, and half Heathcliff shows, 6 episodes of Heathcliff, and onley 3 "bonus" Cats & Co./Catillac Cats episodes in it though.
(Kind of a rip, considering they could fit more episodes then that on there. The 80s TMNT cartoon DVDs have like twelve 22-minute eps on most of them.)
The boxset has the complete episodes, with the "Catillac Cats" episode for each Heathcliff show included as well.
