Smoky Ridge had just caught sight of Wilkenburg Stables when they heard about the Yearling Auction they were holding, each of the young Hanoverians sired by Ambassador. Temptation grew in the people who worked at Smoky Ridge, until they finally talked about it and settled that they would have to at least take a look at what the outstanding offspring might be of the handsome stallion.

Germany, always a favorite of Smoky Ridge, already had the few people who had made the travel over to Europe's spirits high. As the car pulled into the yard of Wilkenburg, a fantastic looking mare stood by the cleaning area, a soft bristled brush being whisked over her already gleaming dappled coat by a groom. Her neck craned around to look at the newcomers, her eyes curious. The groom nodded a greeting to the people from Smoky Ridge, and motioned to where the yearlings in the auction were.

All four of them were flashy and gorgeous, the two fillies and an equal amount of colts. At first, the interest was on Aleanda, the nice looking filly with interesting front stockings. After a few minutes of looking her over, we noticed the light bay colt, who also had stocking, but on his back end. He stared back at his audience with an intelligent look in his eye, as if he were evaluating the strangers, too. We liked how he carried himself, tall and with his tail slightly lifted. His movements were nice and supple, with a flowing lift to them. Soon it was decided, we would try our best to bring this lovely colt back to Smoky Ridge.

Personality: Ampire tries to make things difficult, while still making you smile. He's a thinker, always thinking his way through things. He is always testing you, seeing what he can get away with, any has a good sized ego. He likes to show off and strut his stuff, but he has a stubborn streak. If you try to baby talk him and take "pretty pictures" of him, he'll purposely try to act dull and boring.
History: Born and raised for two years in Hanover, Germany. At his two year mark, he was imported to America, and now resides at Smoky Ridge as an eventing horse.
