Ohayocon 2011

Location: North Market

Ohayocon was a very gear-heavy con with lots of pre-planning. Two strobes, two flash stands, carbon-based stands, sync cords, reflector, gels, my whole kit. I felt like a camel!

This shot used absolutely none of them. And it's one of my favorites.

Basically, I spotted the floor, went "Oooooh!" and threw Zach in front of the wall. The flashes blew out the colors, so they got cut. There was more than enough available light to make the black and yellows pop.

Being spontaneous is a good instinct to have!
