They did meet in the episode "Hurricane Fluttershy" and while they didn't speak to one another, Rainbow Dash did present her as "My number one flyer, Fluttershy!".

actually scootaloo is fluttershy's mom. it was a crazy night scoots was getting drunk with friends and shy found grandma derpy's time machine and went back to the past. to this day in the future scoots still curses derpy being such a scientific genius but never keeping data so her creations can be recreated.
