You have a 3DS with internet? If so, you can get the latest update by going to your system settings. If you've done that, a new app will appear (or you already have it), which is called the Nintendo eShop. Maybe that you've got a Club Nintendo account, maybe not. If not, I suggest you to make one with the small red and white Nintendo card you got together with your 3DS. You can do so on www.nintendo.com
Okay, so, when you've got a Club Nintendo account, you go to the Nintendo eShop app and open it. There, it'll ask whether or not you have a Club Nintendo account. Just follow the steps and you'll get there. c:
When you're done with the steps, scroll a bit through the eShop. Soon enough, you'll see an icon with PokΓ©Dex 3D on it, and that it's free and downloadable. If you'd like to download it (which I REALLY recommend, since it shows EVERY kind of information about the Unova PokΓ©mon), you tap on the icon and follow the steps again.
If you've got the Parental Control Settings on it, and you don't know the password (since I have like, NO idea who I'm actually talking to, if you're a kid or a teen, lol), you'd have to ask your parents for the password and all the other shizz that comes with it. c:
