Because I love drawing obscure moments from my characters' pasts. This is Filbert several years before he met up with Rosa. (EDIT: And no, you sillies. Rosa didn't do anything to him, haha)Got a little lazy with the shading on this one and the anatomy is sort of wonky. I was particularly trying to work on perspective, but I don't think I did too good on that either. Oh well! At least it looks decent.

I missed your characters, they always put a smile on my face and a burp in my belly. Odd seeing Fil skinny... But I think he's pretty adorable either way. Sort of like when you see pictures of your teachers when they were in college...

The fuzzyness really makes it feel like an old photo, and the soft, earthy colors really make it seem like it's a photo from the 1920's - 30's, back when photos had that brown tint to some of them.
What more can I say that's already been said? All of your Loveless Empire characters are fun to see, regardless of what era they're portrayed. Your stuff's just that awesome. 8D

Okay, its not 100% perfect. But thats the problem with perspecive: its damn difficult. and if I hadnt looked at it long and close I wouldnt have seen it.
I think this is probably THE most beautyful picture of Filbert I have seen so far! Especially because of the atmosphere and the light from behind. (I would have sucket at this point I guess)

He was always pretty skinny actually. It wasn't until something horrible happened to him that caused him to become who he is today. Unfortunately, I do not want to reveal what happened....yet.

The shading looks amazing. I like the bit of "fuzziness" the white gives the foreground in the picture. It really does feel like a memory.
