Description He is up for auction!
Information on the auction is here and here .

-----------------------------------

After some debate, I finally decided to do a quick no frills photo shoot for this custom and post him online. He was finished before the 2008 Rhode Island MLP Fair.

My "Legends" custom My Little Pony, based off of a certain scene with the male unicorn in Ridley Scott's movie, "Legend" .

Started off as a G1 Snuzzle, was hacked apart body part by body part, and pieced together and re-sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt. Full body repaint with acrylics and sealed with a matte varnish for his body, and a glossy sealer for the blood and horn. Hair is bleached mohair.

Platform is hand stained and sealed with glossy wood varnish. Snow is the fake writing snow, plain and glittery. Body is lightly sprayed with a fine body glitter spray.

Apple blossom petals are hand sculpted, painted with acrylics, and sealed with matte varnish.

Oh wow...that is amazing. I only just saw that movie again several months ago when I was cruising TV channels and just stumbled across it. (Still missed the beginning, grr...) I had been trying to find that movie unsuccesfully in movie-rental stores for some time, so when I saw it playing on the TV i jumped at the chance to watch it.

Wish I'd caught the beginning...also wish I'd taped it. Oh well...maybe I'll run across it again sometime when I have a tape and when I get to it RIGHT at the start too...

I'm thinking I missed this scene...does it happen in the begining? But they DO come back to it at the end of the movie.

It's actually towards the beginning of the middle of the movie. I can't tell you more than that, as you neeeeeeeeeeeed to see the whole movie!

I actually bought my dvd copies on Amazon last year, Legend ( Ultimate Edition ), which has both the director's cut ( which is basically the UK release ), and the US release. I still wish they'd release the TV version to DVD, as that's the one I grew up with, from recording it off of the tv when I was a little girl, and it's an AWESOME mix of the UK and the US releases.

It's worth the purchase! [link]

Thanks for the link! Will think about getting it sometime after the holidays...I still have gifts to get people...

But I bookmarked the link for later.

Wow. I haven't seen the movie in YEARS but this brings back that scene perfectly. So beautiful and sad, and covered with the mist of glitter that would be cheesy in any other circumstance, but somehow manages to be elegant instead.

Well, needless to say, awesome custom!

Yeah! For some reason, the over abundance of glitter works beautifully in Legend! I think the only other movie that could possibly MAYBE get away with it a bit was Willow ( the scene with Cherlindrea ). Or Labyrinth... come on, a David Bowie fantasy movie without glitter? Does it even exist? X3

Danke mucho!

wow, that's both completely awesome then sad at the same time. Not sad, like bad, but sad like you feel sorry for the poor unicorn. It's a great job Bee!

It really IS the saddest scene in the whole movie, but also the prettiest, in my opinion. A definite must see movie for EVERYONE to see!

I still think the tv release is the best, though. I used to have it on vhs from when I was a little girl and recorded it off of Channel 11 out of NYC. It was a great mix of both the UK theater release and the US theater release. Makes me sad that only the US and UK theater releases where put to DVD, and the tv release never was. T^T

And thanks!

Your welcome, I wish I could get a copy of that, but I can never find it. Then again I always get distracted by the random anime in most video stores.
