Yep, it's been decided, my new print for AnimeNEXT 2011 will be a SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron piece!At the moment, I only have the super initial roughs for T-Bone and Razor lightly sketched out, but I need to re-work T-Bone's pose a bit. Other characters in the piece will be fleshed out later on another page of my sketchbook, as I'm not sure if I want to add the Pastmaster, Nega Kat, or Dr. Viper in the background as the big bad looming bad guy. And I KNOW I'm going to need to work the TurboKat in there as well.
I'll be doing some crazy lightboxing with this piece, kind of want to create the layout of the piece the old fashioned way.
However, I'm not sure if I should sketch in their Glove-a-trixs, though. Sometimes we see them wearing them in an episode, sometimes we don't. What do you all think?
And who do you think should be the looming bad guy in the background?
Dr. Viper, Nega Kat, or the Pastmaster?

as far as the big looming bad guy either Pastmaster or Dark Kat should do it. They do have a creepiness to them. idk about the glovatrix though.

I was speaking with my fellow artist friend, Tammy, and she made sense, saying either Dr. Viper or Pastmaster, as their designs are just that much more interesting than Dark Kat.
I may have to put up a poll and go by that.
I think I may just put the Glovatrix on Razor, but not on T-Bone. Someone else made a good point that T-Bone really wouldn't need it too much, as he could just plow through the bad guys. Though technically, neither would Razor, as he's the martial arts master. Heh, we'll see when I get the time to work on the second stage roughs. ^__^

Never saw this show when it first came out...but I saw it later on Boomerang. Pretty awesome. Shame there weren't more eps...(Unless they just weren't showing them all)

Yeah, Boomerang just isn't showing them all. They seem to keep repeating episode 22 a LOT ( the one with the bad versions of T-Bone, Razor, and Cally, all working as partners with Dark Kat ).
It's sad, because the whole show in it's entirity is fantastic!
I'm going to see if I can get my hands on an unofficial dvd of the entire series at Chiller this year. Hanna Barbera and Warner Bros. Never thought to officially release it on dvd, even though it was their top ranking show for a few years.
