Description I'm too exhausted from working on this to say much O____O
I did have the web of light at first, but it didn't look right.
Did anyone else imagine them floating up to higher ground?

I haven't read everyone else's comments but what strikes me in this piece is your choice of color for the craggy rock they're levitating above. Curious as to why you have placed them on the edge of what looks more like the foaming of a waterfall instead of the "expected" gloomy tones of the cemetary they are in (at least in the book). The lavender color stands out and it's unexpected. It seems to me that you have a lot of water movement in this piece -- the grey fog near the village reminds me of boiling, rushing water and yet my eye is also drawn to the bright "sun" of the two spells. Was this intentional? I like the coppery sheen on Nagini's coils, but I think she would have been a powerful presence maybe coiled in one of your detailed trees?

However, I'm not an art student but your work always has so many different layers and it's always beautifully rendered.

Ha ha.. when I saw the name of this picture, I was like.. "Priori Incantantum.. Priori Incantantum... I know that from somewhere.. Aha!! Harry Potter.."

This is a beautiful representation of the scene, I love seeing pictures from other people's imaginations
This painting has somewhat a religeous quality about it, I think that is perfect, because we are seeing it from the Death Eater's point of view, and they serve Voldemort with such devotion.

harry potter is almost like my religion, and I'm not kidding. This is the only picture i've ever seen that looks almost spiritual! It needs to be in an exhibit.

Actually i thought for the lonest time that they were in the air, floating until harry broke the link. it was about the tenth time i read that passage that i finally realized that it said the web deposited them on the ground or something like that.
but i like the idea of that. actually, come to think of it, were there not hills in that graveyard? maybe thay were in one of the little vallies and the spell put them on the top of a little hill.
great pic!

This is so gorgous. I've just started looking through your gallery and I think this is the most wonderful HP art I've found. There's a real sense of magic and story-and thats something you need with art that accompanies such a wonderful tale. It's so great to see work that does justice to it rather than just re-telling the same images... If that makes sense...

great pic!

but i imagined them floating over a fountain or a shrine, in the graveyard, with the church in the distance and the death eaters and nagini standing around the edge of the fountain/shrine.

all in all a great pic!

"And then--nothing could have prepared Harry for this--he felt his feet lift from the ground. He and Voldemort were both being raised into the air, their wands still connected by that thread of shimmering golden light. They glided away from the tombstone of Voldemort's father and then came to rest on a patch of ground that was clear and free of graves. . . ."
Yeah, I dunno, I guess I forgot about the part that said they came to rest on a patch of ground free of graves. I always pictured Harry in the air, struggling with all his might to keep the wands connected and force the beads back to Voldemort, with his legs kind of sticking out behind him a little in the air.
Thoughtful expression,

And that's what it does! It evokes emotion, which, to me, is what makes great art!
