Inspired by the ABC Series "Once Upon a Time"I LOVE fairytales, but especially ones that have a (dark) twist. I'm loving watching "Once upon and Time" and cannot wait to see "Snow White and the Huntsman" when it comes out.
It's quite a simple manip but I did have fun trying to create a dark, eerie feel. Hopefully I've succeeded. I am sorry the size is a horrendously small. By the time I'd cropped it, it ended up a bit like an avatar.

Ach, I hate technology. I'm trying to get my prehistoric tablet to work. Whenever I plug it in it just goes crazy doing its own thing. I wonder if its been possessed.

Sounds like your tablet driver is corrupted. If you have the install disk it may be worth a try reinstalling the driver... It might fix it.

Yay! I'd love to see another piece from you. I get to that stage. I take my time over a piece, go to submit it and the stock has been taken down. :S If you wanted an extra pair of eyes, I'd be willing to take a look at the lighting. I'd be glad to help.

If you can't find your disk the drivers are probably on the internet somewhere. If you look up the model number there is usually something on the manufacturers website.
I chucked the picture up, despite its flaws. Any suggestions would be well received. I think I fixed it up a bit, but there is still something that's bugging me. I decided to go on to the Cinderella piece and not dwell on the little details. I have a Red Riding Hood, a Frog Prince and a Rapunzel in mind too... Got that fairytale bug bad! (Too much "Once Upon a Time" and "Grimm" I suspect!

Ah great, I will go and look at it now. I hardly ever think my pieces are perfect, I don't think you ever do really. I think you just accept things you don't like or can't fix in a piece. I am very excited about the other pictures you have in mind, they all sound great!
I LOVE Once Upong a Time. I haven't seen Grimm. I think I saw the adverts and decided to watch it but missed the first episode. Is it good?

I guess we artists are always our own worst critics but it's easier to see the screw ups when you're the one who screwed them up in the first place! 
Grimm isn't bad, it's a much grittier, less magical thing. I can't actually decide which of them I prefer.

I KNOW! I get paranoid about something in my composition, show it to a friend and they completely ignore what I am worried about and pick out something different. This is good but then I have two things to fret over!

I get too paranoid to show works in progress much. I ask the techie at various stages but he usually says it looks great and then I think he's fibbing to spare my feelings and just end up more paranoid...
I've seen a trailer for Mirror Mirror... Same time as I saw the Snow White trailer though, looks OK but a little Disney compared to Snow... Kinda took last place on the "Must See" list. Brave looks awesome too and Prometheus if you like the Alien franchise...

Mirror Mirror was good. I went to go and see it a few weeks ago. It was definitely more disney than The Hunstsman. However, it was like they were taking the micky out of disney. A lot of subtle adult jokes thrown in there lol. I really want to see Brave. I haven't seen the Alien franchise but Prometheus look amazing - if only for the gorgeous concept art and the fact Michael Fassbender is in it.

I'd love to be able to go see Mirror Mirror, but I'm worried my laptop is going to really have problems soon, plus I'm saving for a copy of CS6, so I'm limiting my movie visitations severely. It may kill me... I'm really hoping that the radio will have one of their premieres for Snow White...

CS6 is still in beta testing, but I got a free 60 day trial. Going from CS2 is quite a jump, but considering the cost of the full version of CS6, I suspect I'll be sticking with the CS2 (probably forever!) CS6 just looks so sexy though...

Ah really? I forget what version we're up to now. It seems like they bring out a new one every month :S. I know! I saved for so long to buy CS2 and that was when it was an old version lol. I dread to think what it costs now. Whatever it is I know I can't afford it. It looks cool? Ach, don't make it worse.

Sorry... But it does look very cool... [link] I'm impressed. I tried CS3 and hated it so much, it was really awkward but this is nice to use... The techie says the Student/teacher version is cheaper, so we'll see. I guess they upgrade it more often now than they used to, it does all manner of 3D stuff now, which I have no clue about!

Ah that must be awful. I'm kind of glad I haven't tried it so that I don't know what I'm missing! Yeah gray is nice to work on, it's a neutral colour but not harsh like back or white.

Saw Mirror Mirror the other day... Liked it up until the Bollywood style song and dance routine. The dwarves were fantastic though!

I know! That was just a teensy bit out of context. The bit where the dwarves are talking to the Prince just after they've capture them is my favourite. It is amazing.
