Description
Designs for the monsters in my "Frillamay" story. I was trying so hard to create a horribly ugly creature but this came out... I like it, but I'm gonna have this be a captive one. I'll try to make the wild monsters more ferocious-looking.Related content

I agree, he is very cute for a ferocious feared monster. Wild ones should have nicks and chips in their ears and skin, a broken horn now and then and maybe the should have large incisors that captive ones don't, because they get filed down or something? It's totally up to you though, I was just thinking of ways I might go about it. I am excited to see what you come up with! I do have one question though, about this reference sheet. You have that they can sneak up on prey or stomp to warn their herds, what are they warning their herds of? Is there a predator that hunts them, or is it Frillamay's race that they are watchful of? I am just curious because I thought they were top predators and typically predators have a very arrogant outlook on life, like lions or leopards. They don't worry about getting attacked or hurt (unless it is by others of their own kind). Perhaps different groups of them fight each other and steal females or something?

Yeah, it's Frillamay's race they have to look out for since they've been enemies for centuries and have captured a good handful of them and have been raising them in captivity for generations, hence why Frillamay's monster has become to frail and not-so-beastly looking. I really like the suggestions for how to make the wild monsters more threatening-looking, thank you!!
