This is Debonaire and Alixa, respectively, sharing one of the rare calmer moments in their lives.

This piece was originally going to be a last minute gift commission, so I had only planned to do a very sketchy rough job to begin with. However, when I drew the sketch... that artistic spark in me took over, and this happened instead. lol

I doubt anyone is complaining.

In many ways, I almost felt like this image was drawing itself and I was just along for the ride. D= I'd never done something so... massive and detailed. I learned SO much, I can't even begin to explain, especially about how to paint metal, and armor in general (which I'd never really designed before). I even learned some new stuff about painting hair, which I already had felt confidant in. It was a real labor of love, and an experience that I wouldn't trade for anything... I truly believe I came out the other side of this one a little bit better at my craft then before. I've still got lots to learn of course, but it was a true stepping stone for sure!

I feel so blessed to have been able to draw this for my good friends! Ru-ru, Moja... may this piece continue to bring you all the happiness that it has given me. Luv you both!
