Why? It's a marketing ploy to get more people to get hooked on the features and sign up.

I'm fine with not having those features. Frankly, you guys are the ones losing out because I could work on my journal skins if you made it available for free users.

Since it's not a ridiculous amount of money for membership and you haven't been shoving it in my face to sign up, I'll stop here. Thanks for listening.
