Description This is my Final Piece of the topic "Ancient Cultures", the culture I've choosen is obviously from China, my home country which I've lived for 12 years. Well...I was born in 1994 and I'm still 14 because my birthday is in September...

I've done studies about the Beijing Opera and some basic historical backgrounds, and I consist the whole image with the idea of "changing from the past to present". The disk-like actually came from the shape of In-Yang sign, I broke it into two sides: one of them stands for the past which is the one with Chinese traditional antient buildings and nature, and the another one stands for the present where many hydro-powerstations and modern buildings are built for people's hign-demanded needs and leisure...

The figure appears at the right side is the Goddess of peacock (I've been struggling whether I should use peacock or phoenix...), she is sad about the destructive change that the human beings has done to the nature but she cannot break the destined rule of life and turns the time back.

It was kinda known as my Master Piece though, and I admit that this should be the best piece of work I've done so far, I spent a whole month doing research and did it in one night (approximately 8 hours) and the tools I've used were Copic colour fixers which are the proffessional fixer for drawwing especially mangas and art designs.... I got totally exhausted after I've done this but I slept only for 3 hours and I had to go to school...=_=b

Wow. I've been going through your gallery once again and found this. o__o

It's really amazing. I admire you so much. Not to mention that you were only 14 years old when drawing this. I love the number of secret meanings in the picture. I love the whole concept. It's really great work. I wish I could be as good as you are!

Also a silly question. I'm a bit curious, how big is it IRL?

Thanks for your appreciation, this is one of the best piece of work I have done so far, I treasure iy very much indeed~

The real size of this drawing is about A2, slightly smaller than that because I cut off the blank edges.

I would never use Copic for such a big piece again, I was sad because I wasted too many colours...Q A Q

Thanks for your compliment, I did this drawing an year ago and it's probably the best piece I've done so far. I had lots of ideas when I was planning for this piece, including the idea of past and future, cultural elements, and the design of those jewelleries. It was really worth the amount of time I spent on it.

I'm not really sure about how to sell prints, I usually keep my original piece by myself, so it would be a good idea if I can sell prints. ^ ^

You scan or photograph your piece and then upload it like you have and just enable the prints option, DA takes care of the rest.

High quality picture would probably work, or maybe a print shop would be able to scan it?

~Wow, you flatter me...>///>
Well I really did spend quite a long time on it, and it was at the mid-night...I did this piece about a year ago, so it's pretty old already. My friends here tend to concern more of my cosplay and recent works, so this one is kind of being barried...=w=

~Thanks for your appreciation~
