Description I had a dream
nestled in my arms
and shuddered at the fear
of letting it go
so we kept quiet
for many years

I march through paved badlands
my lithe dream trembles just
at the site of broken faith
where glutton ran of water
and tumbled to the foul winds
of mal contentment

Beyond the broken buildings
there stood five blue doors
atop an untainted horizon
ready to welcome me
and my little dream
into a better home

There was no one left to warn us
of who constructed each door
or what lay past their boundary

We have to reach them soon
little dream is starving so
craving chance to set it free
when I have held back
in the fear of being me

The only hope I cling to
is the clench among its gold
and the twist I give its heart
for pushing through it all
to fall within a darkness
with my baby dream
evermore

I chose this door so long ago
before my dream was born
the seed was planted just for me
to tell you of a tale
where all our doors connect
on the trail to Entalyne
where even stars still weep
in joy for us
and where it's okay
to simply be
