I love moments like that. Especially when I'm carrying all my diamonds, picks, torches and chests.
Though I also have an issues with excavating an entire area (almost 50 by 50 and 50 deep) And still not finding that ridiculous zombie near me. Where the hell is it?

Gold isn't that much important since it has few uses andit's durability is crap.

Real life gold is rather bad for tools, but I do agree it should be more useful, probably for "complicated" stuff like clocks or magic.

It apparently mines faster than Diamond but has a lower durability than wood.
