Description
A lot of people seemed upset when I drew a rather depressed-looking Twine for the AntiLoon prompt (sad Twine :c ), so I thought that I'd draw a bit of a pick-me-up and a gift for all those that offered my baby sweet words <3
Twine and I have made so many wonderful friends since joining loons only a little over a year ago, which kind of prompted me to start thinking of the YLH that I've got going on right now (you can see it here! ) Through good times and bad, Twine has come to realise that not only can you always count on your family to be there - Fishhook, Split, Atlantis, Nigri, and the newest addition Sanddorn making up her closest family - but you can always count on friends, too. They'll always be there to help lift you up if you need it, you only have to ask <3

Pffft nah XD I was about halfway done with it when I started working on it this morning - had the sketch and lines done already. Just had to colour, add the background, and adjust with lighting and effects <: And I've started working on the comic that will be one of the last pieces before I start planning out the YLH lol. You could always work more on why Noctla was so protective in your piece eue

Oh, and it's not a problem of knowing why she was protective or what was out there there's kinda some hints in the written bit but they're purposely vague so I dunno if that actually helps lol. I already know the answers to that. Only problem is, I don't know how to make the reason... happen. Or how exactly it should look. Or what order things should go in. How far back I should go, how many vague wispy backstory ideas I should involve. If they should be comics (likely to never happen) or stills with wordgarble (slightly less likely to never happen). Mreh. Too many decisions to make and too much effort required for thinking them all throooough.

Ahhhh, hokay, that's an acceptable reason. I tend to use giant-ass canvases and then I'm shocked and amazed at how quickly something can be done on a smaller one lol but you can see every single tiny mistake so giant canvases it is for meeeee
But Kaaaaaaaaaaas, it's been so looooooooooong, stream agaaaaaaaaaaaaain! D: I don't blame you for that! Comics seem exhausting. I don't understand how people manage to scrap together the effort for all the story, the drawing, the posing, framing, dynamics, character building, lighting, shading, hnnnnnnnnngh. That's why Mish's creator... Tarkfir I think? was so impressive, churning out comics like nobody's business, or CoffeeAddictedDragon. I can't do that shit XD You take your time on it, don't die or overextend yourself!
Since I don't know if/when I'll add more to this I was kinda super intentionally obscure? Hrmmmm, maybe... but I really do need to work on character designs too, and figure out how all of my loons mesh together before I can bluuuurgh. I guess some of that can be covered in various backstory but effort. Hnnnnngh.

Pffft jk I just work at the speed of light c; But no lol I have to be much more careful with long strokes on larger canvases because my hand tends to shake when I'm trying to make large, careful details XD Less room to mess up on smaller canvases lol giant canvases just leave more room for teeny details eue
It has been a while X'D I'll try to find the time soon lol. Comics are exhausting, though :'D And the hand likes to stop working after a while XD For me I don't really spend a lot of time storyboarding, I just kind of throw sketches together in a way that I think looks appropriate and play a bit with frame styles :') it was Tarkfir, yeah :'D they cranked out comics like no other, it was crazy. I would die XD I make no plans to become the deceased or over-stretched lol

I was thinking about making it a really big thing too, like adding the area for all my kids and then maybe have people that wanted to live in similar areas sort of draw or describe their bits so I could add them to the map? Kind of like a big interactive thing that people could have a better idea of how and where their kids interact with others. They have a big world map but they've said that you can use your own <: Pffffffffffffft. sure

Yaaaaaaaaaay! I should expect to see you working on it any day now, right? XD Yeah... the group feels a bit big to actually effective be in it with a bunch of other people. Most of the time I feel like my kids are in a little pocket universe with no chance of interacting with any other loons. Maybe if the group themselves had a map that was sort of interactive the way you described, where people would know who they were "close" to and most likely to interact with, that wouldn't have happened, but... honestly, it seems like people who post journals of their loons looking for friends, looking for heardbonds are just shouting into the void including me I suppose as Noctla's still alone -.-. Though I suppose if the whole group did that all you'd probably just have a million people of various levels of skill crowding around the more popular artists and characters, trying to force those artists to interact with their own characters and completely ignoring everybody else around them. I feel like your kids have always lived in a relatively cohesive area, though- everywhere you've shown them just makes sense for them.

Yes, the end of almost all my streams :'D Some of them end because I have things to do, but the ones that go into the later hours I usually stop because I'm either a) falling asleep at the computer or b) I can't draw things right and my anatomical "abilities" just jump out of the window XD I'm glad you have so much confidence in me, though X'D

And I feel like the Loonia map was a lot more segregated than how loons would actually work? Oh geez now I feel like you're judging me for doing a heartbond-seeking journal XD If you must know there's a reason I didn't pick one of the four people that posted a loon- none of them had posted more than two words saying why they thought their loon might be a good fit for Noctla. I was really hoping I might get some descriptions of their personalities, and we might be able to have a nice discussion of how our loons' personalities might work together, where they might clash, what a potential relationship would look like, and then have a nice visual/written buildup before jumping into the heartbond images... but they just plopped down some loons and said "hey these loons would be interested in Noctla." So... that failed. Badly. -.- There was somebody I was really excited about potentially bonding Noctla with at one point, but the artist I was discussing it with had some personal stuff pop up and they haven't been on da much for like... six months. So that fell through. Hard. *sighs* Maybe Noct'll just end up alone. It's easier than shouting into the void, especially when either 1) people who're willing to put in the work I'd like for a heartbond aren't interested in their loons bonding with her or 2) they want their loons bonded to her, but with minimal effort and thought. I don't want her to be alone, especially with her being my "first" child (Pardal's older by a day but Noctla just feels like she's first lol), but... I've got no friends I can force to join the group so they can make a loon suitable for Noctla, and nobody in the group seems to already have one.
This would have to be one hell of a comment stalker to be reading these massive paragraphs XD I've spent like an hour responding to this! And hey, believe it! I definitely think your kids 100% belong in their homes, especially since you've now cleared up where they all live. The only one I find a little odd would be Ryse because she doesn't like land, forests, or being alone... but she lives far away from the rest of your kids (presumably alone) in a stream system that's in a forest. But otherwise! Fish on the beach? Totally works. Twine on the beach and near a jungle? Definitely works!! And if Atlantis goes the way I'm thinking he's gonna... he's not going to be able to live anywhere but the beach/ocean. Tassos 10/10 belongs in a murky, misty swamp, and... I don't want to list all your kids. You get the point. XD

That's fair, and I suppose uncommon religions are still religions. Though if you're an atheist like me they're all mythologies to some degree or another, lol. I'm actually salty on behalf of "rarer" religions that they're labeled mythologies, while giant religions like Christianity can march around under their big fancy guise as if they aren't the exact same thing. Either you're both religions or you're both mythologies, make up your minds! ...unless you're a 100% dead religion. Then you're almost definitely a mythology. I think. I'm not at all surprised- it's a pretty old game in case you couldn't tell by my mention of installation disks lol. It's from the... early to mid 2000s? It was this awesome game where you're a god, and you have this sphere of influence based on your number of followers. Within that sphere of influence you could do stuff like harvest crops, build buildings, or make your followers do those same things, and you could send an animal avatar to do things outside your sphere of influence. You won the game by either winning over other gods' followers (if your people were super happy in comparison to the other peoples the others would be like wow our god sucks we want this other one and migrate to your city), or by going to war and destroying all the other gods' peoples. If you chose to be good, the only in-game rendering of you- a little hand- would be a nice, normal hand with pretty white glowing swirlies on it, and flowers would bloom under it. If you chose to be evil, your hand would turn red, grow black claws, and lava would bubble up underneath it. 10/10 amazing game and losing access to it has been one of the saddest events in my life. And... even if I could find it again, I think it was originally for windows vista, maybe earlier. I dunno if it could run on windows 10. *cries*

And the person who was interested in a heartbond actually asked me personally through a note, they hadn't even seen the journal, so it didn't even help in that regard. Unfortunately, that almost definitely wouldn't work... if anything, the people I know better now have fewer loons available for heartbonding than they did when I posted the journal, so even though I know some people know that might be willing if I asked... they don't have any loons available. So... yeah. I'm honestly just giving up. Maybe I'll just make all my loons aro to save myself the trouble of trying. It's better that than them not being aro but being unbonded forever anyway, I guess. -.-

Ooooo wow that is a lot, though I dunno if the third eye really counts anymore now that she's got all the eyes lol. And oh hush, you don't need anything special to make a 3D figure- with an old shirt you could make a small plush, use the leftover fabric for stuffing, and paint it for the colors. Or you could cut out multiple layers of cardboard to glue together (so it actually counts as 3D), paper mache it, and voila! 3D figure. Or you could just get some cheap colored clay or playdoh, make a shitty loon in five minutes, and then destroy the monstrosity immediately after you've taken the picture.

Twine chirped happily, grinning from ear to ear to hear one of her youngest friends to say such things. She was, miraculously, wordlessly happy. She all but lunged towards the loonling, wrapping her forelegs tightly around Elzifer in a tremendous hug. "I will always enjoy anything that you bring me, and you will never be without a loon to take care of you, or to bring you happiness. I will be there for you, always."

Not since the amazing, talented Kas has complimented her design~ Honestly tho the only part I may change is the length of her hair (since she a mom now and needs that messy bun goin on) and perhaps general bodyshape. I thought about giving her bird feet, too, but I kinda like her the way she is.

All true things, the kids are all just too gorgeous <33 Elzifer was especially fun to put it, it's rare that I find a loon that's smaller than Twine (even if they're just a baby loonling XD)
