Thank you everyone who participated in the YLH and submitted their kids for the choosing <3 Even if your loon didn't get selected, I'll still be making the time at some point to draw a headshot for everyone who participated <:
This area is also a (head)canon part of the ocean beyond the Sundance pack's bay called the Spires, an area that, just beyond the edge of the reef, reveals a vast field of striking arches and tall stone formations that have claimed many ships like the one that the Sundance kids call home. Shipwrecks litter the sea floor, making ideal habitat for many sharks and fishy creatures...
Phew, this was one hell of a painting! I don't think I've ever done a painting to this scale with as many large or varied fullbodies as this one. It was a delightful challenge, and I got to experiment a bit with a new painting style for backgrounds <:
Additionally, a special slot was made for Cirago 's Nyota for Cirago's late birthday <3
I also want to thank everyone that visited the streams while I worked <3 I know that I didn't stream the last part (sorry), but I really appreciated everyone keeping me company while I worked. Means a lot to me that you guys would take time out of your day just to watch me draw things :')

This is breathtaking <3 all the little detailing, the background sharks, and the gorgeous effort in the background shine on their own, but with the loons added in it becomes incredible! It's really clear how much time and care was taken with each one and I'm absolutely over the moon that you included Nyota! Thank you again!!! Her body language is perfect, and I love how her glowing bits look underwater. You've really outdone yourself with this one!

Thank you eue <3 I haven't done a completely underwater, floaty scene like this in a long time! It was interesting to work with so many floaty poses! Fish deffos feels like royalty beneath the waves, and is more than willing to protect Nyota from any dangers that they might find <3
