How did I miss this one?! I have excellent fond memories of him as well. And this is simply GENIUS! I actually found a Paddington in an antique store. He had a tag that said "Please Care for this Bear" and I picked him up and said, "I will". That's my story for the day.

'In September 2007, Warner Bros. and producer David Heyman announced a live action film adaptation of Paddington Bear. Hamish McColl, who penned Mr Bean's Holiday, will write the script. The film will not be an adaptation of an existing story, but "will draw inspiration from the whole series" and will feature a computer generated Paddington Bear interacting with a live-action environment.'

I am saying disaster. I just feel making a movie out of something like that is just not going to have any longitivity and wasnt Mr Beans Holiday absolutly shit! :/
