Description
Two Cuman warriors. First one has a sabre and a shield. He is protected by a chainmail tunic, chainmail hood, a leather jacket and a round metal chestpiece. His helmet with a matching face mask is an absolute crowd favorite - beloved by history fans from the moment some archaeologist dug one like these from a ground. Second one is a horse archer, protected only by a leather strap around his waist and a helmet.

One of my older drawings, inspired by the depiction of Cumans in Total War games mods. Cumans, also known as Kipchaks, Polovtsy or Połowcy, were a loose confederation of nomadic turkic tribes living in the Pontic steppe during the Middle Ages, in the times predating the Mongol invasion of Europe.
