Description
This is something i finished this Thursday, we had to chose a picture from a newspaper that we found interesting and then make something based on it, strictly or loosely.I found this photo of a Finnish hockey player Jere Karalahti with a substance alleged to be cocaine in one of his nostrils, the incident happened about a year ago and if I remember correctly, he was charged with posession.
So anyways, I thought it would be a good chance to try something new, and I don't think much has to be explained about this piece.
I guess this came out allright the perspective of the table might not be convincing, but I still like it.
And I really think I've fallen in love with tilted, dramatic angles. >.>

it makes you feel soooo relaxed...
...oh...and you shouldn´t say that about the perspective, i find it right except for the VISA card; it looks like it is floating.
but still you made a very nice work with this.

And well to be honest, I kind of chose the wrong drug here, cocaine is actually a stimulant that makes you pretty perky and energetic, that's why it's a popular party drug today.
I guess I just wanted to show the aftermath of the use, tough I still feel that I should've featured something like methamphetamine instead.

Vaikka tuo pöydän perspektiivi ei ole ihan nappiin mennyt, ehkä siinä onkin enemmän symbolinen merkitys. Iso luottokortti ja valtavat kokkeliviivat.
Tällaiset "vinot" kuvat ovat tehokkaita ja varsinkin tässä missä on kyse huumeista.
Hahmojen asennot ovat luonnollisia, mutta tulee aiankin itselle mieleen että eikös kokaiini ole enemmänkin piristävä ja stimuloiva huume? Toisin kuin esim. heroiini jolla on (ainakin loppua kohti) päinvastainen vaikutus.

Juu voishan sen perspektiivin niinkin nähdä. Ja olet aivan oikeassa kokaiinin vaikutuksesta, halusin vaan luoda sitä "What the hell are we doing to ourselves?" tunnelmaa.
Ehkä metamfetamiini tosin olisi ollut arempi valinta tässä kuvassa, vaikka sekin on stimuloiva aine niin jälkikäteen se kyllä pistää kehon sekä aivot täysin paskaksi.

Juu, ehkä siinä on vähän sitä morkkiksen tuntua. Ja kokaiinista tulee mieleen se että se on ns. seurapiiri- ja muotihuume, kun taas heppa ja moni muu on sellaisia vittu-kun-elämä-menee-huonosti aineita.

Another great angled shot here. The expressions are really detailed as well as the anatomy of the 2 body postures. I wish I could point out improvement in this, but sadly, I am no good at the sort of thing, or I would make sure you SUFFER.

Looks like this couple has been stoked from the cocaine. You captured this brillantly with the monochromatic graphite and the fact it feels like it's one of those anti-drug commercials. Brilliant execution, I must say!
