Headcanon idea where Pearl finds out that Lapis is actually her long-lost sister (they kinda look the same, don't they?), and overreacts accordingly:

You know I am a Crystal Gem.
Of my virtue, I am justly proud.

You know I'm so much purer than
The common, vulgar, weak, licentious crowd.

Then tell me, dear Rosa,
Why I see her dancing there,
Why her silver eyes still scorch my soul?
I feel her, I see her,
The starlight in her navy hair
Is blazing in me out of all control!

Like fire!
Gemfire!
This fire in my skin!
This churning desire
Is turning me to...

It's not my fault! (Mea culpa!)
I'm not to blame! (Mea culpa!)
It is the Lapis girl
the witch who set this flame! (Mea culpa!)
It's not my fault! (Mea culpa!)
If in God's plan (Mea culpa!)
He made the Diamonds so much
Stronger than a man!

Protect me, dear Rosa!
Don't let this siren cast her spell,
Don't let her water sear my flesh and bone!
Destroy Lapis Laz'li
And let her taste the fires of Hell
Or else let her be mine and mine alone!

[Enter Garnet.]

Garnet: Pearl, this has to stop. You're overreacting again.
Pearl: What?
Garnet: I've searched the ocean for Malachite. She's gone.
Pearl: But how- ? Never mind. Get out, you idiots!
I'll find them, I'll find them if I have to burn down all of Earth!

Now Sister, it's your turn!
Choose me or your pyre!
Be mine or you will burn!
