This is a great series, such a departure from your usual style but still very 'you'! I'm guessing you drew on experience gained with your final major for these?

I drew on a massive backlog of convenient research. It was pretty fun working with that period again!

Convenient research is always convenient! Since Pavlov's House I've been doing sporadic research into WWII, especially the Russians... hopefully I'll get a chance to draw on that someday.
