Taken in Georgia while on vacation a few weeks back. This guy was a monster... at about 12 inches long, HEHEHE. None the less he hunted up and down the shores of a little march near the swimming hole terrorizing the small fish and frogs.Cool bird to watch, glad I was able to share the experience with my cousin Celeste who was taking shots as well.

That is actually not a bittern, but a green heron. I see them all the time here in Texas. Very nice picture of it. The two birds do look very similar, so it's easy to confuse the two.
