Description
A shot taken about a year ago (takes me that long sometimes to get time and enjoy my shots).I was traveling with my mother and my sons near Lodi Ca. The sun was almost setting and these birds were in a flooded area of marches and crops. For the life of me I cant remember what that are called.

ha yeah its a crane! I can tell bird types but I think is a certain rare or endangered crane. will look it up later on whatbird.com when I get a chance.

ahh there are a few here in the states, also egrets, herons, and bitterns which are all similar.

We have a few species of heron species (including egrets, little bitterns and great bitterns) and two species of storks.
