Love the facial expression and the hair. Also your use of clarity and fuziness. Very sexy portrayal of a wizened woman.

Nice. Also, I can't help but make the "Fluoride will bond with anything" joke.

I don't think it's sloppiness... Your paintings express so many things with so few details ! Take a look to the artworks of Jeffrey Jones or William Wray, you don't need too much details to make a great picture...
I read some time ago an interview of Moebius. He said there is two ways for an artist to surpass himself : the quantitative way and the qualitative way.
The quantitative way is the easiest way : all you have to do is to draw as many details as possible to impress the viewer.
The qualitative way is more difficult. It's no matter of time spend on the drawing. It's the research of the perfect line, the perfect light, the perfect idea... Don't need details. Details are minor.
But I totally understand your questions about your work. I ask myself the same ones...
It's not easy to let a drawing or a painting in a "rough" step, sometimes you have the feeling that it's not finished...
Anyway, your art is cool, and don't ask yourself so many questions, just keep up the good work !
And sorry for all this loooong speech about art, I'm not sure it's very interesting...
Cheers !

Boy...brushes were all over the place on this one. I can't even remember! But they were a combination of native PS CS4 brushes (tweaked) and probably one or two brushes created by Chris Wahl.

Well the concept is conveyed very naturally. nice pastel col ors used for the overall effect & tone. I have to say that this does look like a painting created in order to help tell a story to young men preparing to travel about the dangers of some women. Wonderful painting and great concept.
