Enyaliën Canyo - In Memory of Bold.The title says it all.
It was done in 2004 with coloured pencils for a calendar. Its month was May, and I tried to catch a more realistic Bold in an atmosphere suitable for a memorial.
I'm not satisfied with it; I always have the impression of a work in progress when I look at it. Maybe one day I will rework it (luckily its one of the few pictures still in my possession).

Das Bild ist echt unheimlich schön geworden, ich wünschte ich könnte Tiere so realitätsnah zeichnen. Vor allem die Fellstruktur am Hals-Kopf Übergang finde ich sehr authentisch

Ja, wahrscheinlich... und irgendwie fehlt noch eine rote oder zumindest dunklere ebene obendrauf... ich weiß auch nicht. Es hängt hier gerade genau neben mir an der Wand und ich bin einfach zu faul es aus dem Rahmen zu nehmen und zu überarbeiten.

Und mit Polychromos fehlt mir auch die Übung, ich zeichne lieber mit meinen Bleistiften oder mit Kohle...

Jup, ich zeichne sehr gerne mit denen weil ich generell gerne mit Farbe arbeite, wobei ich dabei aber ohne meine Copics zum glätten der Struktur (ich mag es einfach nicht auf meinen Bildern wenn man die Körnung der Buntstifte sieht) garnicht auskommen würde xD

Ich mag die Körnung, aber so glatt wie du das hinkriegst ist das schon echt wahnsinn...
Farben mag ich auch sehr, aber Bilder in Graustufen haben auf mich immer schon eine unglaubliche Wirkung gehabt...

Komischerweise stört sie mich auch nicht bei anderen Artists, nur bei meinen eigenen Bilder....wenn ich die dann vor mir liegen habe, kommt mir das ganze immer ungeheuer unsauber und messy vor, aber mit Copics kann man das alles super glatt wischen
Graustufenbilder sind auch total schön, aber mit Bleistift oder Kohle arbeiten habe ich schon lange aufgegeben weil es nur darin endet dass ich alles quer übers blatt schmiere xDD

Ich weiß was du meinst... geht mir mit der Kohle nicht anders (apropos rumgeschmiere... XD). Ich bin da extrem pedantisch. Aber wirklich, das ist irre wie du das hinkriegst.
Ja, das ist leider so... nur dank Pfotoshop sehen die Bilder in meiner Galerie so sauber aus...

Haha jah, ist aber generell so bei Bildern mit weißem Hintergrund. Ohne ne Nachbearbeitung wäre das total grau und voller Dreck (teilweise auch kram ausm scanner) xD dabei wisch ich das dingen schon oft genug...

The detail in the fur in this drawing is really exquisite. I also think the edge of the fur is drawn well, with all kinds of detail and intricate patterns to it.
