Description
He was called "The Old One". A really big fox who lived at the animal park Olderdissen / Bielefeld. Early in 2003 he died after a long life.A pal of mine befriended with him. They saw each other very often, and this fox got tame enough to be fed by hand through the fence.
I never knew "The Old One" face-to-face - only the Bielefeld-foxes that came after - but after his death I drew this picture of him for my pal. I had a photo for reference, and it is done with 2B, 4B and 6B pencil.

oh he looks so sweet... he sounds so amazing its wonderful how animals seem to have there own personalities even when in the wild! He looks big and fluffy so sweet!

As I wrote, I never knew him in person. But I saw photos and videos of him, he was a fantastic fox. And yes, every single fox I knew had his own personality. They were all very different from each other.

Very beautiful face! I love the texture of the fur and the eye, the detail you've put on the muzzle is amazingly accurate! But is something wrong with the tail? It doesn't seem as detailed as you usually do them, and it seems to have an aura...XD (trying to give some constructive critism)Love the piece though!

Oh the tail... it was the last part I drew and as often I lost interest *coughs* That "aura" is just his winter wool, it has a funny look, but it really looked like that! XD
