Don't think you can take an advantage of me. I'm not as soft as my father is.

Last time I drew Tiara was back before Crusaders of the Lost Mark wasn't even announced yet, and which episode ended up being really quite excellent for the most part. The best thing was really the development of DT, her backstory, and the contextualisation of what made her the way she was. It was at once realistic and also fit together with previous episodes exceptionally well despite none of it ever being pre-planned to any particular extent. Her desire to please her family at the expense of burying her core identity, the need to be a "winner" at any expense, and eventually her having the strength to take that step away from the forced-upon path in life she was walking on really showed a character that to my mind easily turned her into one of deepest and most nuanced characters of the entire show, even over some of the core cast (though her subsequent reduction to a background pony in later seasons has been very unfortunate).

Started this drawing a little over a week ago, with the drawing itself being done in under a day. But I've been working on the colouring on and off for the rest of the week, so it took longer to get this finished with my job and general laziness slowing things down a bit. Anyway, I'm relatively happy with how this turned out and got a chance to do a bit more with backgrounds that I usually really dislike doing due to how time consuming they tend to be. Overall, though, despite not being my best work by far, it was good to get some drawing done again after quite a while.
