Description Back when I was playing Ruby version, the only Ralts i caould catch was male, and I refused to evolve it- I couldn't bear to see him forced into dresses... so when I learned about Gallade, I was overjoyed.

Amrit was ever-so-slightly scarred from this encounter. Mr. Gardevoir has already been through this before...

But that would cause issues in the programming for a 50%M/50%F PokΓ©mon to become 100%M and 100%F. Just look at Azurill's 75%F/25%M versus Marill and Azumarill's 50%F/50%M. Female Azurill used to change gender because of this.

In Gardevoir's case, it's more of a coat/robe, especially since it's split in the middle from waist down (show me an actual dress split in the middle from wait down...), so calling it a "dress" is pretty silly (or just shows how much people want to see it as a crossdresser).

If one wants to complain about a guy in a dress in Pokemon, there's always Gothitelle.

Though on that account, we do have female Machamps and Conkeldurrs...

Well, whatever helps them sleep at night. XD But I still see Gardevoir as a female-only species. XD Gallade and Gardevoir mimic the Knight and Damsel in distress iconography, I believe. I think the knight is what they based Gallade on.
