Description Duncan, the Warden Commander of the Fereldan Grey Wardens, enjoying a refreshing bath in a water pool near his camp. Of course keeping a dagger close at hand... no need to risk facing a surprise attack from the Darkspawn unarmed!

This Duncan with his hair down is for (if you'd like to suggest a more interesting title, please feel free to let me know! )

ok i need to say this - nice body but not my type of the face - dont kill meh pwease !
And the whole picture is really nice, i only miss something like a wet body effect - that would make picture more realistic, what you think? Its just my small suggestion, but i know it can be sometimes hard to make such effects XD.

Oh, you don't need to worry about me if Duncan is not your type, just be careful about the Duncan-loving ladies out there... They might throw some daggers your way for not liking Duncan! (Kidding of course... )

I agree with your suggestion, tweaking the model's specular map for a "wet body effect" would have been a nice touch! Unfortunately, I didn't think about it at the time... I'll keep that in mind for the next character who's going to take a bath, thanks!

I really thought I had commented on this and dragged it off to my favourites but apparently not. Perhaps it's something to do with the brain overheating. This is ridiculously hot and wonderful. Seriously though, Duncan would never go swimming in his underwear. I like that he keeps the dagger close at hand though.

Berserker79 In reply to Gaspode5 [2014-01-12 18:54:47 +0000 UTC]

lol, that also happens to me a lot! The good thing is that it means you liked this work enough to come back a second time for it!

With the land infested by the Darkspawn, Duncan didn't feel like leaving a weapon too far even during his bath. Probably that's why he also kept his underwear... that or he didn't feel like making any ladies or gents faint on sight!

Gaspode5 In reply to Berserker79 [2014-01-13 08:27:58 +0000 UTC]

A second, third and fourth, after that I lost count...

There would be fainting certainly.

This is impressive. Especially the tattoo.

Berserker79 In reply to RainbowRenders [2013-12-02 22:53:04 +0000 UTC]

Glad you like it! The idea here was to make him look sexy while simply taking a bath to shake off the fatigue of all his travels!

For the tattoo I used the Grey Wardens heraldry artwork from DA2, it thought it would be fitting for Duncan. I'm afraid the angle is a bit off, but it's tricky adding thins kind of details on the 2d texture without seeing the 3d result in realtime!

Thanks! Thought that Duncan could use some refreshing rest with all that travelling across Thedas to look for signs of a new Blight and to recruit more Wardens!

And awesome job with scenery setting, as usual!

Berserker79 In reply to deexie [2013-12-02 22:39:42 +0000 UTC]

lol, I'm glad this has put Duncan in a new light!

And thanks for letting me know the scenery looks good! I've combined a couple of scenery models, tweaked some textures and then added all the Dragon Age "nature props" I could think of in order to get this done... Actually I have to admit I'm quite pleased with the result and I'll probably use it again for another (upcoming) work!

Oh my goodness! And a tattoo! I just have to learn these 3D tricks on day. Only one objection, who takes a bathe with smallclothes on..., no seriously...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Berserker79 In reply to olivegbg [2013-12-02 22:34:18 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for your comment! I guess it would have made sense for Duncan to part with the smallclothes for bathing, but... well... let's say he didn't want be surprised by attacking Darkspawn like that!

BTW, the tattoo is quite easy to add! The most difficult part is finding a good image of whatever you wish to use as the tattoo itself. Once you've got the right one, it's just a matter of using photoshop (or similar) to add that image as an alpha mask layer (either on the texture of the model used in the picture or on the final picture itself).
