Lifting one's skirt to display their delicates so publicly wasn't traditionally asked of many wealthy women in the Victorian era, but I can draw whatever I want. 😃
This dress is inspired by Sissi's dress from the German film 𝘚𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪 – 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴, as the costume design work in that film is top tier. Though I wanted to keep the woman a bit more ambiguous and draw them in their mid 20s. 💚
I wanted to see how long I could go from having a spontaneous idea to rendering the final piece, with this clocking in at 6 hours and 17 minutes. I don't intend on making alternate versions, and I don't intend on suddenly making art on a regular basis. This was just a fun little exercise in seeing if I could still create art. I hope you like it. 😊
